Ephraim Warren

M, b. 25 December 1735, d. 25 January 1831
     Ephraim was born on 25 December 1735 at Killingly, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Ephraim Warren and Tabitha Russell.
     
     
      Ephraim Warren received a gift of land from his father 25 February 1759 and bought more acres from him 11 January 1769. He was a farmer and, as he became nearly seven feet tall, was called "Longitude" Ephraim. He was on the committee to furnish clothing to the Continental soldiers sent by the town of Killingly, in 1777, and was one of a committee to collect clothing for the army in 1778. He was chosen in 1780, as a member of a committee to divide all of the inhabitants of Killingly into as many classes as the town is deficient in its quota in the Continental army. He lived first about 500 feet south of the cemetery on Break-neck Hill and later moved to a site near Mashentuck Brook.
     
     
      Ephraim lived to be over 95 years. He and his wife's remains now rest in the old cemetery on Break-neck Hill.
     
     

He married Mary Brown in 1756 at Killingly, Connecticut. Ephraim died on 25 January 1831 at Killingly, Connecticut, at age 95.2

Two different sources have her married to two different Morton's. Do not think this is right. . Mary was born on 2 June 1681 at Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Faunce and Judith Rickard. She married Lieutenant Nathaniel Morton on 21 February 1706/7.3 She married John Morton before 1711.2 She married Deacon Joseph Hall in 1711.3 Mary died on 31 May 1761 at Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, at age 79.2
